6/14/19 - Bryce Canyon

Bryce Canyon is quite spectacular.  Below is The "Amphitheater"  - The view from the rim, just outside the hotel.  All of the spires are called "hoodoos" and according to Paiute Indian legends, they are ancient "Legend Peoples" who were turned to stone as punishment for bad deeds.

Taking a hike below the rim.  (I thought a hiking stick would help me....)

The hike back up was a little challenging....

The cabins connected to the lodge

A picture of the original front of the lodge (we think).  It is away from the current road now and is facing the canyon (about 100 yards away).

I think they call them ground squirrels out there....
